Oliva wins Cigar Trophy Award with Serie O
As is customary, the annual Cigar Trophy Awards were presented at Intertabac End September. This prestigious initiative is organised by Cigar Journal. Its aim is to reward the expertise, enthusiasm and commitment of professionals in the industry.
The competition consists of two rounds: first the candidates are nominated, then readers can cast their vote on their favourite per category. The categories are: Best Brand, Best Cigar and Best Value, each per country (Nicaragua, Cuba, Honduras and Dominican Republic). Oliva won the Best Value - Nicaragua prize with their Serie O.
We are very proud that the Serie O managed to scoop this prize. We make cigars with the intention of giving the smoker a fantastic product at the right price. This is what the Oliva family always focused on, in their own way, with both feet on the ground. This award has extra significance for us as, after the passing of Gilberto Senior Oliva, it confirms that we are continuing his legacy and are ensuring that the Oliva company preserves its charm and long-term perspective.
Serie O is a Nicaraguan Puro. The Serie O is made according to the age-old Cuban tradition to grow the same Habano seeds in various regions of the country. This results in a specific blend. This blend was created by growing Habano in Esteli, Condega and Jalapa Valley.
Serie O comes in three sizes: Torpedo, Toro and Robusto.
Wrapper: Habano Sun grown
Binder: Nicaraguan Habano
Filler: Nicaraguan Habano
